The Rebound® Air Walker is designed to offer protection from a variety of injuries.
Whether you're recovering from surgery or suffering from a sprained ankle the Rebound Air Walker ensures maximum protection with its rigid shell, whilst still allowing the leg to breathe due to its aerated design to enhance your recuperation. The Rebound Air Walker also comes complete with two socks to offer additional comfort and protection for your leg.
The integrated air pump offers a more custom fit, ensuring there is no unnecessary movement of the joint which could lead to injury.
The Air Walker is designed to manage grade 2 and 3 ankle sprains and stable fractures or post surgery to protect the patient. A boot of this nature is an alternative to casting which requires crutches, whereas a boot still allows a patient to remain completely mobile during their recovery with the knowledge that they are fully protected. Unlike some alternatives this boot is enclosed at the front meaning it is more suited for use outside in the British weather.
The boot is available in both a standard and low top version, the latter being more suited for those who either do not need the full size version or where the full size version is too tall and compromises range of motion of the knee joint.

I was issued with a Rebound Boot by the NHS following ankle replacement surgery after removal of the initial plaster cast; (two weeks post surgery). The first boot suited the purpose very well but since I was required to sleep in it as well I purchased a second boot in order that I could have an indoor and outdoor boot and keep one boot and the bedclothes clean. This has worked well as I have become more active (now at 5 weeks post surgery). One minor comment: the socks that came with the Ossur purchase were too long to fit over my ankle (too tight when rolled or scrunched up and ankle delicate follwing surgery). However this was solved by cutting them in half!. The boot that was issued issued by the NHS had shorter socks.|
