The 'Foot-Up' is a lightweight ankle orthosis, designed to provide dynamic support for drop foot or similar complaints. This simple orthosis not only provides visible improvement in the patient's gait, by providing support the moment the foot is raised, but it is simple to fit and practically invisible when worn.
Foot-up combines two separate parts; an ergonomic ankle wrap, which connects to a plastic inlay that fits between the tongue and the laces of a shoe. A separate shoeless foot wrap is also available, which enables the orthosis to be worn without footwear. Both attachments fasten to the ankle wrap by a strong elastic strap with a quick release clip. The ankle wrap is made from a breathable three-layered structure, which makes it comfortable to wear for long periods, without causing irritation to the skin or impeding the foot's freedom of movement.
The Foot-up is available in three sizes and includes a plastic inlay. Additional plastic inlays and the Shoeless Foot Wrap are supplied separately.

My dad has drop foot as a result of having a club foot corrected when he was a child, over the past couple of years it's gotten worse and worse. He would always catch his feet on pavement anyone else would miss, and it had resulted in a couple of really nasty falls.
His physiotherapist recommended this after he told them about falling, and it has changed his walking dramatically. He walks straight and his leg picks up just like his other one. I no longer worry about him catching his foot and its such a releif to see his walking improve so much just from one amazing simple product.
He got his foot up through the NHS but even if he would have had to pay the money, it would have been worth every penny.
If you catch your feet and drag your feet, seriously try this device! It isn't at all visable to others Aswell, so no embarrassment!

I have drop foot to left and right foot after Guillain Barrie syndrome in 1998.For ten years i have been wearing "TOE OFF" splints for social and work.At work i wear safety shoes with toe caps which make my feet heavy. They have served me very well, although i have had four pairs, they are very expensive.Early on this year i went to the Physiotherapist regarding a walking problem. She said that the splints i was wearing although very good,in my case she thought they were restricting ankle movement.Therefor she recomended i try "FOOT UP" supports (07810-2)They are supplied by the N.H.S.I was that impressed i bought another pair. One pair for social and one pair for work. They are very comfortable.I am now going to purchase a pair of inlays for other shoes.

i was given a device by the hospital which felt like i was wearing a ski boot, i then brought a better device off the Internet,. went back for a follow up appointment showed my doc my purchased item and he offered me the foot up which the hospital was trying out and it great to use as its just a clip on and not velcro like the other i brought the only thing i would point out is that the stitching below the buckle connector digs into the skin until it has been warn in but all in all its 10/10 for the whole device

I have suffered with quite severe foot drop for over 2 years now and I must admit I was a little dubious when I saw this product as everytihng else I had tried had failed miserably. I received my Foot Up today and have worn it all afternoon and my leg is aching like mad but it is the muscles that have been dormant for 2 years that are aching which proves it is helping straight away.. I hope it continues to help in this way as it is nice if uncomfortable to know that things are being used that were laid dormant for so long. I can walk almost perfectly without stumbling which a great improvement. I would recommend this product to be the first thing to try to everyone if it was my choice ...Thank You OSSUR
